Urban Discovery was invited by the Nursery & Garden Industry Victoria and the Victorian Schools Garden Program to create the feature play precinct at the 2026 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.

A unique show experience for all show goers, young and young at heart, The Wild Place Children’s Garden showcases innovative and achievable design, education, and therapeutic solutions with one intention; excellence for children. Now and long into the future.

A cross pollination of research, pedagogy, regenerative design and Indigenous knowledges, The Wildplace illustrates a necessary step forward in the design of children's play and education spaces across all spheres of modern society. 

This large, immersive, nature rich playspace hosted thousands of school students and show goers throughout the event and received prestigious feedback.

We hope it will inspire a revolution in the design of playground environments.
